KABUL: Hamid Khorasani, a senior Taliban commander known for issuing threats of suicide bombings against Pakistan, has been killed at the Kabul Taliban military brigade headquarters, according to security sources.

Khorasani held a vital role within the Taliban organization because he had spent many years developing and executing suicide attacks which targeted locations throughout Pakistan. The suicide bombers received training at the brigade headquarters where he died and the location served as a main center for Taliban military operations.

Reports indicate that Khorasani was eliminated during a targeted strike on the brigade’s headquarters. Pakistani intelligence agents together with special forces launched an operation which dealt a severe blow to Taliban operations throughout Afghanistan.

Pakistan Air Force strikes major Taliban military installations in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia

Earlier, Pakistan Air Force has successfully targeted and destroyed key Taliban military installations across Afghanistan, including in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia, according to security sources.

The airstrikes achieved their objectives by demolishing two brigade headquarters in Kabul and damaging both a corps headquarters and a brigade headquarters in Kandahar. The Pakistan aerial bombardment destroyed two Taliban facilities in Kandahar which resulted in major operational losses for Taliban forces throughout their entire operational area.

The Pakistan Air Force conducted successful airstrikes in Paktia which destroyed a corps headquarters and dealt a major blow to the Taliban military infrastructure. Through this operation Pakistan proves its commitment to combatting Taliban violence while safeguarding its national borders.
