Umar Gul clears air over viral video of dispute with Shaheen Afridi
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s bowling coach Umar Gul has addressed rumours of a confrontation with star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, following a viral video on social media that sparked widespread speculation.
Speaking at a press conference, the coach says that the video emerged when Pakistan’s star bowler Hassan Ali got injured and was lying on the ground, while Shaheen Afridi was sitting out there. It was regarding the habit of taping the knee before starting to bowl by Shaheen.
Umar Gul also adds that the video shared online was wrongly showing a friendly discussion as a heated argument. He says that the reactions shown in the video clip were natural and Gul did not realize that the recording was happening during that time.
The coach further added that the entire incident had been exaggerated on social media and there was nothing like a clash between him and Shaheen Afridi.
