Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan has urged overseas Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) social media activists and YouTubers who earn money through content featuring party founder Imran Khan to contribute their earnings to the party.
Speaking on TV program, Shafi Jan said overseas PTI YouTubers who were unable to participate in the party’s protests should at least provide financial support from the dollars they earn abroad.
The party has a financing issue, Shafi Jan said, urging those who earn from content related to Imran Khan to contribute to the party.
He said some people had been assigned the role of highlighting the party’s activities on social media, but those who could not come to Pakistan should support the party financially.
If PTI workers are using Imran Khan’s name and earning hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they cannot come to Pakistan, they should at least send money to the party, he said.
Shafi Jan also called on other PTI supporters to participate in the party’s activities and protests.
