DASHT: Security forces successfully foiled a human trafficking attempt during an operation in Southern Balochistan arrested 58 undocumented Afghan nationals including women and children here on Sunday.

According to sources, security personnel intercepted the group at Dasht Mirani area when they were attempting to cross the border illegally via human smuggling networks. Official reports said that economic and social hardships within Afghanistan frequently drive citizens to fall prey to human traffickers.

These individuals often utilize transit routes through Pakistan to cross into Iran, with the ultimate goal of reaching Turkey and European countries. Security forces maintain ongoing operations along the border regions to counter human trafficking and unauthorized entry.

Officials stated that all detained individuals will be handed over to the local police for further legal proceedings.  Authorities have continued operations against human smuggling and illegal cross-border movement in different parts of Balochistan.
