National Peace Message Committee (NPMC} on Saturday expressed solidarity with the Sikh community, reflected a wonderful example of interfaith harmony in Pakistan.

Under the banner of NPMC, leaders of various schools of thought and religions visited Farooqabad, Sheikhupura and expressed solidarity with the Sikh community. The delegation also visited the Dharamshala, whose wall had collapsed due to its dilapidated condition, and agreed to reconstruct so that maintain its historical and religious status.

The rights of Muslims and non-Muslims in Pakistan are protected under the Constitution of Pakistan, and the ownership or status of any religious place, including a Temple, Mosque, Gurdwara or Dharamshala, will not be allowed to change.

There is no truth in the baseless propaganda being made regarding the Dharamshala of Farooqabad, and this place will remain in accordance with its previous historical and religious status.
