RAWALPINDI: The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation announced that all private schools will remain closed tomorrow, Saturday, across Punjab province due to the deteriorating security situation following the Tehreek-i-Labaik protest.

Private schools in Punjab and Islamabad will be closed tomorrow due to security concerns, as announced by the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation. This decision aims to ensure the safety of students, parents, teachers, and school staff amid the current situation.

Kashif Mirza, the federation’s president, highlighted that heightened security measures have become necessary. On Friday, several schools in Rawalpindi and Islamabad were already closed due to the unrest caused by protests from religious groups. In Lahore, both public and private schools were dismissed early due to the ongoing security issues.

Attendance in Islamabad schools dropped significantly, with many students facing difficulties getting to their classes, compounded by road and cellular service disruptions throughout the day, causing considerable inconvenience to the public. As a result of the security situation, the Punjab Public Service Commission has postponed the SDO Para exams originally set for October 11 and 12 in various cities, including Lahore. New dates for the exams will be announced later.
