LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has been shifted home from Sharif Medical City Hospital after her throat surgery; her condition is improving, according to Marriyum Aurangzeb.

Senior provincial minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a post on the social networking website X that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz continued to directly supervise security, cleanliness and other administrative matters in the province from the hospital on the day of Eid-ul-Azha.

According to Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Punjab Chief Minister’s major surgery was performed at Sharif Medical City Hospital, which was successful, after which she was shifted home.

Sources in the Muslim League (N) said that Maryam Nawaz Sharif was facing severe throat pain, due to which the doctors had recommended surgery. Sources say that the Punjab Chief Minister is in good health after the surgery, and the doctors have advised her to rest.
