ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rain in different parts of the country, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during the next 2 to 5 hours.
Thunderstorms have also been predicted in the major cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat and Abbottabad, as well as in the areas of Muzaffarabad and Kotli in Azad Kashmir.
Thus, clouds are ready to fall in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, as well as Murree and its surroundings, which is likely to make the weather more pleasant.
According to the PMD report, rain is also expected in various districts of Punjab, including Talagang, Khushab, Sargodha, Layyah, Bhakkar, Multan and Faisalabad, in a few hours.
The administration has directed citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during the rain and take precautionary measures.
