The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted hot and partially cloudy weather in Islamabad today, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 39°C, while the minimum will remain around 26°C.

Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience cloudy conditions. However, the upper and northern districts, including Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kurram, and Orakzai, are likely to receive rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with isolated heavy rainfall possible during the afternoon and evening.

In Peshawar, temperatures are expected to remain between 39°C and 41°C, with hot weather prevailing for most of the day. A brief thunderstorm cannot be ruled out later in the evening under the influence of monsoon moisture.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned that intermittent heavy rainfall during the ongoing monsoon spell may trigger flash flooding in hill torrents and seasonal streams, urban flooding in low-lying areas, and landslides in mountainous regions.

Residents in vulnerable areas are advised to remain alert, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain, and follow instructions issued by local authorities.
