PESHAWAR: The provincial capital will remain hot and dry today with mostly sunny skies. Met Office data shows maximum temperature reaching 37°C while the minimum will settle at 26°C. Air Quality Index stands at 112, categorized as “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” due to high PM2.5 levels. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours.
Southern KP sizzles under extreme heat. Dera Ismail Khan is forecast to hit 45.5°C by 5 PM with clear skies. Late night may bring isolated light rain around 11 PM with temperatures dropping to 38°C.
Central KP districts will see clear weather throughout the day. Mardan’s temperature will range from 25°C to 31°C. Hangu is expected to record a high of 34°C with no precipitation.
Malakand division offers relief from the heat. Dir is likely to remain much cooler with a high of just 27°C and low of 15°C. Light showers are possible in upper areas during the afternoon.
PMD has forecast isolated thunderstorms with gusty winds in parts of KP today. UV index will peak at 10-11 between 12-3 PM across the plains.
