PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has ordered the transfer of 28 senior civil judges across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, citing public interest, according to an official notification issued with the approval of the Chief Justice and other judges of the court.
The notification has included several transfers and postings for different judicial officers working in various districts of the province.
Among the key transfers are Muhammad Rehan Samad who has been posted from Tank to Dera Ismail Khan, Shehzad Ali Khan from Mohmand to Tank, Muhammad Wali from Abbottabad to Karak, and Basharat Rauf from Battagram to Bannu.
The important transfers also include that of Saira Bano from Bannu to Swat, Farkhanda Nosheen from Dera Ismail Khan to Malakand, Muhammad Suhail from Kohat to Bannu, Sheraz Khan from Mansehra to Mohmand, and Muhammad Haroon from Malakand to Abbottabad.
Other important postings include Rabia Abbasi who has been transferred from Swat to Kohat, Saleem ur Rahman from Lower Kohistan to Mardan and Madiha Rahman from Bannu to Hangu.
The notification further stated that Mazhar Ali Khan has been appointed as Deputy Registrar of the Peshawar High Court after being transferred from Shangla.
All affected judicial officers have been directed to assume charge of their new assignments within one week, the notification said.
