ISLAMABAD: The government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs3.93 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs386.30 per litre, according to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division.
The notification stated that the revised petroleum prices would remain applicable for October 17, 18 and 19.
However, the government has kept the price of high-speed diesel unchanged at Rs396.96 per litre.
According to the notification, the petrol price reduction is expected to provide some relief to motorists and other consumers who rely on petrol for their daily transportation needs.
Meanwhile, diesel users will continue to pay the existing rate, as no change has been announced for the fuel.
