Peshawar-based Umrah pilgrims have been given an extension to travel without vaccination until October 25, according to Border Health Services.
Border Health Services focal person Ghulam Murtaza Shah said pilgrims travelling from Peshawar would be allowed to depart without vaccination until 10am on October 25. After that deadline, vaccination will be mandatory for travellers departing from the city.
He said Umrah pilgrims could receive their vaccinations at the Federal Government Medical Centre on Shami Road in Peshawar.
Border Health Services has also issued notices to airlines and travel agents regarding the revised deadline.
Previously, Umrah pilgrims travelling from Peshawar had been allowed to depart without vaccination until October 10. The latest extension provides additional time for travellers to meet the vaccination requirements.
