PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health Department has started implementing the recommendations of the fact-finding committee formed to investigate an incident at the Peshawar Postgraduate Nursing College Hayatabad.
As part of the implementation, the college’s principal, Ms Bibi Sultania, has been removed from her position.
The Health Department has directed Ms Sultania to report to the Directorate General Health Services following her removal as principal.
Meanwhile, Ms Shabana Noor, principal of Government Nursing College HMC, has been assigned the additional charge of principal of the Peshawar Postgraduate Nursing College Hayatabad.
The Health Department has issued a formal notification regarding the change of principal and the assignment of additional charge to Ms Shabana Noor.

The administrative changes come as the department begins implementing the findings and recommendations of the fact-finding committee constituted to examine the Hayatabad nursing college incident.
Police Officers Removed After Hayatabad Nursing College Incident
Earlier, acting SDPO Hayatabad Inspector Muhammad Abid Afridi and Hayatabad SHO Sub-Inspector Muhammad Kamran have been directed to report to the Police Lines with immediate effect following an incident at the Nursing College Hayatabad.
Chief Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed issued the orders, while DSP Raza Bacha has been appointed as the new SDPO Hayatabad, replacing Inspector Abid Afridi.
The action follows allegations of violence and mistreatment of male and female students at the nursing college.
On the directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the CCPO has also ordered a fact-finding inquiry into the incident.
SSP Investigation has been tasked with conducting the inquiry and submitting a report within one week.
The inquiry will examine the circumstances of the incident and determine responsibility, if established, for any misconduct or use of force against the students.
