The Peshawar High Court rejected the petition filed against the closure of CNG without prior notice for the hearing on the petition.

The case was heard in the court of Justice Ijaz Anwar, during the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer told the court that CNG stations are suddenly closed without any prior notice or notice, causing severe hardship to the public.

The lawyer argued that due to this unannounced closure, the life system including public transport, school vans and ambulances is paralyzed. The petitioner requested that such closure of CNG be declared illegal and unconstitutional and banned.

During the hearing, Justice Ijaz Anwar expressed strong displeasure over the conduct of the petitioner. The court remarked that “You have started a firestorm on social media by filing a petition in the court. This is a court, not a political gathering where you invite people here through social media.

The court, while emphasizing the dignity of the court and the sanctity of the forum, said that the court proceedings cannot be allowed to be used for personal publicity or political purposes.

After hearing the arguments of the parties and the court remarks, the Peshawar High Court has dismissed the said petition filed against the CNG closure.
