PESHAWAR (Kashif Aziz): The Deputy Commissioner, Peshawar, in pursuance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home and Tribal Affairs Department’s orders, imposed a complete ban on the collection of hides by the banned outfits and non-governmental organisations across the provincial capital during Eidul Azha.

The deputy commissioner issued a formal notification on Thursday, imposing a complete ban on the collection of hides by proscribed outfits and unauthorised institutions or groups.

The authority has also banned donations of funds and collections from the citizens, setting up camps without permission, displaying banners, posters, pamphlets, and using loudspeakers in the city before and during Eid ul-Azha.

It mentioned that the order will remain in force for three days of Eid, and strict legal action may be initiated against violators under section 188 of the PPC

The capital city’s administration urged the public and institutions to cooperate with the administration and maintain law and order in the best interest of the public.
