PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Monday released the damage report of the last two days caused by heavy rains and windstorms. According to the report, 4 people died, and 16 others were injured in separate incidents across the province.
The PDMA report said that the heavy rain, coupled with windstorms, caused massive damage to the properties, and multiple casualties were reported.
It said houses and walls collapsed in various districts of Mardan, Swabi, Malakand and Shangla, where four people were killed and 16 others injured.
According to the PDMA report, the deceased include two men, one woman and one child, while the injured include one woman, 8 men and seven children.
It mentioned that district administrations and all relevant agencies have been put on alert and are in close contact with each other.
PDMA has also directed the administration of all relevant districts to provide relief to the victims as soon as possible. PDMA further said in the report that the current wave of rains and strong winds is likely to continue intermittently until May 12.
