ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has extended the ban on the use of Pakistani airspace by Indian-registered aircraft until September 24, 2026.

According to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the PAA, the restriction will remain in effect from August 18 to September 24, 2026.

The ban applies to all aircraft operated, owned or leased by Indian airlines and operators. The restriction also covers military flights, which have not been exempted from the airspace closure.

Pakistan had previously imposed restrictions on the use of its airspace by Indian aircraft. The latest NOTAM extends the existing ban for another period.

The measure means Indian-registered aircraft and those covered under the specified ownership, operation or leasing arrangements will continue to be barred from using Pakistani airspace until the new expiry date.
