QUETTA: Pakistan Armed Forces have launched a significant military operation targeting Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) posts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan. The strikes are aimed at dismantling the militant infrastructure used for cross-border terrorism.
The operation, which began during the night of March 4-5, involves the use of various advanced weapon systems, including drones, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), heavy artillery, rocket launchers, and long-range mortars. Over 55 TTA locations, suspected to be hubs for terrorist activities and cross-border attacks, have been engaged in a coordinated offensive.
The Pakistan armed forces primary targets are the TTA posts in key sectors such as Warsala, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, and Pishin, along with other strategic locations across Balochistan. These militant positions have been facilitating the activities of various separatist and terrorist groups, including the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Fitna ul Hindustan.
Security sources confirmed that the strikes are part of a calculated effort to neutralize the militants and prevent further attacks on Pakistani soil. The operation is expected to continue until the objectives of neutralizing the threat and restoring peace to the region are fully achieved.
