Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shafi Jan failed to prove his own allegations made against “Pakhtun Digital” in senior journalist Talat Hussain’s program.
While speaking during the program, Provincial Minister Shafi Jan termed Pakhtunkhwa Digital and other social media channels as “black channels” and claimed that they were working under a specific agenda, to which host Talat Hussain took him aside and asked, “You are holding a responsible government position, what proof do you have that there is a specific agenda behind them?”
On this pressing question from Talat Hussain, Information Minister Shafi Jan could not present any concrete evidence or documentary evidence and kept saying, everyone knows. He said, “What is the need for proof? Every person knows this.” The video of this altercation on the live show is rapidly going viral on social media, where users are raising questions about the Information Minister’s preparation.
