PESHAWAR: Authorities have imposed a ban on taking photographs and making videos of important government buildings, sensitive installations and government offices in Peshawar amid heightened security concerns.
According to sources, the restriction also covers locations in the immediate vicinity of sensitive government installations and offices. People have been warned against photographing or recording videos of these sites and their surrounding areas.
Awareness boards carrying notices about the ban have been installed at various locations across the city, sources said.
Authorities have directed officials to take strict action against those found violating the restrictions.
Security measures have also been tightened across Peshawar in view of potential security threats. Instructions have been issued to take action against motorcycles being operated without number plates.
Authorities have also ordered strict action against unregistered migrants as part of measures aimed at addressing potential security risks.
