PESHAWAR: A woman and an innocent child were killed and their bodies were thrown into a well within the limits of Matni police station of Peshawar.
According to initial reports, two people have been accused of allegedly killing their stepmother and young stepbrother in a heartbreaking incident that took place in Pasani village.
According to the police, the accused, Imran and Sikandar, who are residents of Pasani, allegedly opened fire and killed their stepmother Mismat (S), wife of Hakeem Khan and their young stepbrother and threw their bodies into a nearby well.
As soon as the incident was reported, police and rescue teams immediately reached the scene. Rescue personnel removed both bodies from the well and shifted them to the hospital for legal action and post-mortem.
Police say that the deceased woman and the minor victim were the stepmother and stepbrother of the accused Imran, son of Hakeem Khan.
After the incident, special teams have been formed under the supervision of SP Sadar Division Fida Hussain to arrest the accused.
These teams include DSP Saeed-ur-Rehman, SHO Matni Police Station Iftikhar Ahmed and investigation officers, who are conducting operations at different locations to arrest the accused.
According to the police, investigations are underway from various aspects of the incident, while the authorities have expressed hope that the accused involved will be arrested soon and brought to justice.
It should be remembered that this is a preliminary investigation by the police, further investigation is underway.
