PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police on Monday announced a major reshuffle of senior police officers, transferring and posting several PSP officers across the province with immediate effect.

According to a notification issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, the transfers were made in the public interest under Section 17(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.

Under the new postings, Ms Sonia Shamroz Khan (BS-19) has been transferred from AIG Establishment at the Central Police Office (CPO) to serve as the District Police Officer (DPO) Nowshera, while Ahmed Shah (BS-18) has been posted as AIG Establishment, CPO.

Lt. Cdr. (R) Yasir Afridi (BS-19), previously serving as DPO Bannu, has been directed to report to the CPO, Peshawar, for further proceedings on SMC.

Among other transfers, Riffat Ullah Khan (BS-18) has been appointed as DPO Charsadda, Resham Jehangir (BS-18) has been posted as DPO Chitral Lower, Muhammad Furqan Bilal (BS-18) has been assigned as DPO Bannu, Muhammad Waqas Khan (BS-18) has been posted as AIG Logistics, CPO Peshawar, Ikram Ullah (BS-18) has been appointed DPO Shangla, and Syed Talal Ahmed Shah (BS-18) has been posted as DPO Dir Lower.

Additionally, Shah Hassan (BS-18) has been transferred from DPO Shangla to serve as SP Traffic Warden Kohat.
