LAHORE: Investigators have concluded their inquiry into the harassment case involving actor Momina Iqbal, informing a Lahore court that Punjab lawmaker Saqib Chadhar was found at fault during the investigation.

The development came during a hearing before Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui on the interim bail applications of the accused. Counsel for Momina Iqbal and Saqib Chadhar appeared before the court to present their arguments.

Investigating Officer Najam Bajwa told the court that Chadhar’s wife, Sameera, had submitted her mobile phone to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) two days earlier. He said the investigation had been completed and that Chadhar had been found responsible based on its findings.

The officer added that Sameera’s mobile phone has been sent for forensic examination as part of the ongoing evidence review.

Counsel for Momina Iqbal urged the court to reject the interim bail of the accused, arguing that their release could pose a threat to his client.

After hearing the parties, the court adjourned the proceedings, directed both sides to present final arguments at the next hearing, and extended the interim bail of the accused until September 3.
