BAJAUR: A minor child was killed and several others people reportedly injured when Security forces exchanged heavy firing with armed Taliban militants in Samsi area of Tehsil Khar of Bajaur.
According to local sources, a young child has died due to bullet injuries during the exchange of fire. According to eyewitnesses, the situation in the area is tense and sounds of firing are being heard intermittently. The body of the deceased child has been shifted to a local hospital.
There is panic in the area and the local population has been instructed to be cautious. Further details and an official statement from the relevant authorities regarding the nature of the incident are awaited.
