KP police inaugurates fully digitalised driving license branch
Earlier, a fully digitalised driving license branch, equipped with the latest facilities, has been inaugurated, eliminating the need for citizens to stand in queues.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, inaugurated this modern branch at the Traffic Headquarters in Peshawar. The project was launched to provide all services to citizens under one roof through the “One Window Operation.”
Upon arriving at Traffic Lines Gulbahar, a well-equipped contingent of the City Traffic Police saluted the IGP. He paid his respects at the Martyrs’ Memorial and offered Fateha after laying a wreath.
Chief Traffic Officer Zahidullah provided the IGP with a detailed briefing on the new digital system and its procedures. The IGP inspected various sections and counters of the branch, where citizens can obtain new licenses, renewals, and other related services.
During the inauguration, IGP Zulfiqar Hameed emphasised that making the process of issuing licenses easier, faster, and more transparent is a top priority for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. He stated that their mission is to encourage responsible, law-abiding drivers and ensure road safety.
With the establishment of this digitalised branch, citizens of Peshawar will no longer need to visit multiple offices for various stages related to licenses, such as testing, fee payment, and photo capture. All these processes will now be completed in one location.
