PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has promoted, appointed and transferred 35 senior officers in the Higher Education Department as part of a major administrative reshuffle, according to official notifications issued by the Human Resource Management Department.

The notifications cover officers in Grades 20 and 21, including promotions from Grade 19 to Grade 20 and new postings for senior faculty members and principals across the province.

According to the official orders, 14 female officers have been promoted from Grade 19 to Grade 20 on a regular basis and assigned new positions at various government colleges.

The appointments include Fauzia Noreen, who has been transferred from Government Girls Degree College (GGDC) Sabir Abad, Karak, to GGDC Karak as professor, while Ruqia Bibi has been moved from GGDC No. 1 Dera Ismail Khan to GGDC No. 2 Dera Ismail Khan.

Humaira Naz has been posted to Government Frontier College for Women, Peshawar, and Sidra Nisar has been appointed as professor at GGDC Nowshera. Ishrat Jabeen has been transferred to GGDC Nawan Shehr, Abbottabad, as principal or professor, while Siraj-ul-Saba has been posted to GGDC Marghuz, Swabi, in the same capacity.

Other appointments include Hamida Bano to GGDC Katlang, Mardan; Huma Abrar as professor at Government Girls College Gulbahar, Peshawar; Ghausia Naz to GGDC Jandol, Lower Dir; Tasleem Bano to GGDC Khar, Bajaur; Saima Noreen to Government Girls Postgraduate College Mardan; Iffat Amjad to GGDC Bacha Khan, Peshawar; Zubaida Amjad to Government Girls Postgraduate College Mardan; and Zeenat Yasmeen as professor at Government Girls Postgraduate College Saidu Sharif, Swat.

In a separate notification, the department promoted 21 male officers from Grade 20 to Grade 21 as principals and assigned them to government colleges across the province.

Among the key appointments, Dr Ghulam Mustafa has been posted as principal of Government Postgraduate College Mansehra, Hamidullah Jan has been transferred to Government Postgraduate College Kohat as principal, Dr Muhammad Shafi has been appointed principal of Government Postgraduate College Haripur, and Muhammad Anwar has been posted as principal of Government College Peshawar.

Dr Muhammad Fayyaz will continue to serve as principal of Government Postgraduate College Swabi, while several other senior officers have been transferred to lead colleges in Timergara, Saidu Sharif, Dargai, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Buner, Mardan and other districts.
