PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has issued transfer and posting orders for three fisheries officers following their regular promotion from Basic Scale (BS) 17 to BS-18.
According to a notification issued by the Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperative Department on October 19, 2026, the postings have been made in the public interest and will take effect immediately.
The officers were promoted to BS-18 through a departmental notification dated July 31, 2026.
Under the new orders, Muhammad Nauman, formerly an Assistant Director Fisheries at the CH&TC in Peshawar, has been appointed Deputy Director Fisheries in Nowshera against a vacant post.
Tanveer Shehzad, who was serving as Assistant Director Fisheries in Swabi, has been posted as Deputy Director Fisheries at the TCTC in Swat, located at Madayan. His appointment will relieve Deputy Director Fisheries Sajjad of the additional charge he had been holding at Gulkada in Swat.
Meanwhile, Sadam Hussain, previously serving as Assistant Director Fisheries at the department’s headquarters in Peshawar, has been appointed Deputy Director Fisheries at the headquarters against a vacant position.
The notification was issued with the approval of the Secretary of the Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperative Department.
KP Government Transfers Another Senior Officer
Meanwhile, the provincial government has transferred Dr Nauman Mujahid, Additional Secretary in the Health Department and appointed him as the new Director of Youth Affairs.
According to a notification issued by the HRMD under reference No. SO(S-I)/HRM&AD/6-274/2026(V), the transfer was made on the directions of the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Dr Mujahid, a Provincial Management Service (PMS) officer in Basic Scale 18, has been transferred under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973. The appointment will take effect immediately.
The latest transfers represent a significant administrative reshuffle across the provincial bureaucracy. However, the notifications cited in the report do not explicitly establish a direct link between the transfers and any potential imposition of governor’s rule.
