PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Elementary and Secondary Education Department has granted permanent promotions to 17 education officers to Grade 18, according to an official notification.
The officers, who had been serving on an acting-charge basis, include Deputy District Education Officers and Deputy Directors (Male). They have been allowed to continue in their existing posts against BS-18 positions following their regular promotion.
The promotions were approved on the recommendations of Provincial Selection Board-II (PSB-II), which held its meeting on July 31, 2026.
The officers promoted to Grade 18 include Sharafat Khan from Kolai Palas Kohistan, Mahmood Iqbal from Dera Ismail Khan, Muhammad Irshad from Bannu, Muhammad Anwar from Mardan, Ziaullah from the Directorate, Shamsur Rehman from Torghar and Iftikhar Ahmad from Battagram.
Others promoted include Ghulam Sarwar from Malakand, Muhammad Zubair from Charsadda, Fazal Khuda from the Directorate, Muhammad Rehman Shah from Lakki Marwat, Muhammad Sohail Khan from Nowshera, Muhammad Islam from Lower Dir, Dil Nawaz Khan from Lower/Central Kurram, Fida Muhammad from Mohmand, Muhammad Aftab from the Directorate and Dr Hayat Khan from the Directorate.
According to the notification, all 17 promoted officers will remain on probation for one year under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Servants Act, 1973.
The department said the promotions had been formally approved in light of the recommendations made by PSB-II.
