PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Human Resource Management (HRM) Department has notified the immediate transfer and posting of several Provincial Management Service (PMS) officers across key provincial departments and autonomous bodies.
The administrative overhaul, authorized by the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 3, 2026, includes high-profile movements following recent regular promotions from BS-18 to BS-19.
Among the prominent changes, Muhammad Sohail Aziz (PMS BS-19), recently elevated from BS-18 and formerly serving as Deputy Director of the Culture & Tourism Authority, has been posted as the Director of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
Similarly, Tanveer Ahmad (PMS BS-19), previously Deputy Secretary of the Science, Technology & Information Technology (ST&IT) Department, has been promoted and posted as the Additional Secretary of the same department.
Other notable postings include Ms. Tabassum (PMS BS-19), former Director of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA), who takes charge as Additional Secretary of the Home & Tribal Affairs Department. Ms. Tehmina Sharif (PMS BS-18) has been moved from the Directorate of Youth Affairs to the Finance Department as Deputy Secretary.
The reshuffle also features mutual departmental adjustments: Aftab Ahmad Khan (PMS BS-18) moves from the Industries Department to the Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA) as Deputy Director, while Latif Ur Rehman shifts from PSRA to take over as Deputy Secretary of the Industries Department.
Additionally, Ms. Misbah Riaz has been appointed as Director (F&A) at the Provincial Services Academy under Section-10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, and Zahid Pervez has been assigned as Deputy Secretary for the ST&IT Department following a period awaiting posting. Adil Ayub has been moved from the Food Safety & Halal Food Authority to the Health Department as Deputy Secretary.
Conversely, the government has directed Abdul Waheed (former Deputy Secretary of the Health Department) and Obaid Ullah (former Provincial Coordinator for Free Textbooks) to report back to the HRM Department pending further assignments.
All transfers take effect immediately.
