The district administration in Peshawar has imposed Section 144 for 30 days to maintain law and order during and after Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Captain (retd) Sanaullah Khan, these restrictions have been imposed to ensure the safety of the public during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr. According to the announcement, there will be a complete ban on the display of arms and ammunition, aerial firing, fireworks and firecrackers. In addition, one-wheeling, speeding and riding motorcycles without helmets have also been banned.
The district administration has also banned overloading in boats, using unsafe rides in amusement parks, bathing or swimming in dams and rivers without a life jacket. Similarly, the use of heavy bikes and sports vehicles with bull or heavy silencers has also been prohibited.
According to the administration, legal action will be taken against those violating these orders under Section 188 PPC. These orders will come into effect immediately and will remain in effect for the next 30 days.
