The PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, has provided  convenience to the people by implementing the Computerized Land Record Management Information System (CLRMIS).

Under this system, every citizen can now get their land record from any service delivery centre in the province. So far, more than 6 million pages have been scanned, 28 million owners’ records have been digitized, and 62 centres have been connected to the central network, eliminating old data islands.

Through this system, 29,421 land records have been issued so far, 8,356 mutations have been completed, and 3,275 out of 3,561 locations have become operational. Online payment and biometric verification have made the process faster, safer, and more transparent. These reforms are a strong example of transparent, accountable, and people-friendly governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Meanwhile the Chief Minister has already directed that Patwaris serving outside their designated Mauzas must be relocated to their respective jurisdictions. Strict action will be taken against those who fail to comply. Additionally, the Chief Minister directed for start of land settlement in Nathiagali to prevent possible land disputes in the near future. He also directed the provision of vehicles needed for land settlement and digitization in the merged districts.

The CM stressed that land record computerization is a dire need of the time and an effective way to curb corruption. He emphasized prioritizing GIS mapping of land records and said that delays or inefficiencies in these projects would not be tolerated. Where staff is needed, temporary arrangements should be made immediately while simultaneously initiating the process for permanent recruitment.
