PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to initiate disciplinary action against officers and officials who continue to work in their previous departments despite transfer orders issued by the Human Resource Management Department.
The Human Resource Management Department has sent a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home and Tribal Affairs Department and all administrative secretaries, directing them to identify officials who have failed to comply with transfer orders issued under the rotation policy.
According to the letter, some officers and employees have neither relinquished charge of their previous posts nor reported to their new places of posting despite being transferred. Instead, they continue to perform their duties in their former departments.
The department noted that some administrative departments have repeatedly approached the Human Resource Management Department after transfer orders were issued, seeking to retain the concerned officers and employees at their previous posts.
The letter stated that such a practice is inconsistent with the rotation policy and orders issued by the competent authority.
According to the department, the practice is not only undermining the administrative authority of the Human Resource Management Department but is also affecting the implementation of approved transfers and postings.
All administrative departments have been directed to immediately provide lists of officers and employees who have been transferred under the rotation policy or routine transfer orders but are still working in their former departments.
The department said the lists would be used to initiate disciplinary and departmental proceedings against officials who have failed to comply with the transfer orders.
KP Government Promotes Senior Education Official to BS-20
Meanwhile, the Human Resource Management (HRM) Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has officially issued a notification regarding the promotion and posting of Noreen Sardar (BS-20) as the new Chief Librarian.
According to notification number SO(S-I)HRM&AD/9-88/E&SE/2026, Ms. Sardar who was previously serving as Deputy Chief Librarian (BS-19) at the Regional Professional Development Centre (RPDC Female) Kohat has been promoted on a regular basis to BS-20.
Following recommendations by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, she has been posted against the vacant position of Chief Librarian at the Directorate of Curriculum and Teacher Education (DCTE), Abbottabad. The appointment comes into immediate effect in the public interest.
Copies of the official notification, issued under the directives of the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have been dispatched to key provincial offices including the Additional Chief Secretary, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Secretary E&SED, Accountant General KP, and other relevant administrative departments and district accounts offices.
