PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced key administrative appointments, posting Haseeb ur Rehman Khalil as Additional Secretary of the Agriculture Department and Abbas Ahsan as Additional Inspector General (IGP) of Designated Districts in the province.
According to an official notification issued by the Human Resource Management Department on October 14, Haseeb ur Rehman Khalil, a Provincial Management Service (PMS) officer of BS-18, has been posted as Additional Secretary of the Agriculture Department with immediate effect.
Khalil was awaiting posting in the Human Resource Management Department before the new assignment. The appointment was made under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, according to the notification.
Abbas Ahsan Appointed Additional IGP of Designated Districts
In a separate notification, the Office of the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced the transfer and posting of Abbas Ahsan, a Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) officer of BS-21.
Ahsan has been transferred from his position as Additional Inspector General of Police Headquarters, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and posted as Additional IGP of Designated Districts in the province.
The police notification, dated October 14, states that the posting was made in the public interest and will take effect immediately. It also refers to a federal government order dated October 11, 2026.
The transfer and posting were ordered under the powers conferred upon the Provincial Police Officer under Section 17(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
The notification was issued by Provincial Police Officer Zulfiqar Hameed.
Both notifications take immediate effect, according to the official documents.
