PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said the people of the province welcome the presidential proclamation, as they want peace, stability, development and prosperity.

In a message to the people, the governor said KP residents had decided not to support Fitna al-Khawarij and would stand alongside security forces in the fight against terrorism. He said the people of KP wanted a peaceful and prosperous future instead of unrest and disorder.

They also sought stronger relations and cooperation with other provinces to promote development by sharing experiences and working together. The governor said the public wanted democratic values to be strengthened and the benefits of development to reach ordinary citizens. He added that the people of KP were peace-loving and did not support terrorism or violent activities.

He urged people to avoid breaking the law, provoking others and engaging in riots. He warned that those involved in disrupting law and order or taking the law into their own hands would face action in accordance with the law.

The governor stressed the importance of cooperation between the public and security institutions to restore peace, eliminate terrorism, strengthen democratic values and promote development in the province.
