PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has sought a detailed report from senior authorities after taking notice of the attack on the Manji Khel check post in Tank district.
Condemning the incident, the governor described the assault as a “cowardly act by anti-state elements” and said such attacks could not weaken the nation’s resolve against terrorism.
Expressing profound grief over the loss of security personnel, Kundi said the entire country was mourning the martyrs and paid tribute to their sacrifice.
He also conveyed solidarity with the bereaved families and fellow personnel of those who lost their lives in the attack.
The governor directed the relevant authorities to ensure the injured personnel receive the best possible medical treatment and instructed that no effort be spared in their care.
He also called for a comprehensive report on the incident, including details of the attack and the prevailing security situation in the area.
