Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi strongly condemns the bomb blast on a police mobile in Dera Ismail Khan and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of three policemen.

The Chief Minister said that martyred ASI Gul Alam, Martyred Constable Rafiq, and driver Sakhi Jan have made the nation proud by sacrificing their lives. He said that police personnel are fighting terrorism on the frontline despite limited resources. “This is a very cowardly act; enemy elements cannot demoralize us with such attacks. The provincial government stands with its brave police and salutes their great sacrifices,” Sohail Afridi remarked.

“The sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain; the terrorists involved will be brought to justice. The war against terrorism will continue with stronger resolve and full force,” Sohail Afridi added. Chief Minister offered a special prayer for the elevation of the ranks of martyred police personnel. The provincial government shares the grief of the families of the martyrs, and all possible assistance will be provided to the families of the martyred.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali, who was martyred on the Bannu-Miran Shah Road yesterday, were offered. The funeral prayers of martyred AC Shah Wali were offered in his native village of Ghwakhwa in Wana. Tribal elders, scholars, and local people attended the funeral in thousands. Martyred Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali was laid to rest with tearful eyes.

Martyred Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali left behind a widow and a four-year-old son. He was martyred along with two policemen and a passerby in a firing incident on the Bannu-Miran Shah Road yesterday. Three policemen were also injured in the attack.
