PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Wednesday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police checkpost in Hangu district and sought a detailed report on the incident from the Inspector General of Police.
In a statement, the chief minister paid tribute to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and other police personnel martyred in the attack, describing their sacrifice as a symbol of courage and commitment in the fight against terrorism.
He expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and directed the relevant authorities to ensure the provision of the best possible medical treatment to the injured personnel without delay.
Sohail Afridi said the provincial government would extend every possible support to the families of the martyrs, adding that the sacrifices rendered by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in the war against terrorism would never be forgotten.
Maintaining peace remains the government’s foremost priority, and the sacrifices of our police force will not be allowed to go in vain, he said, adding that the entire nation stands united against terrorism and that militants would be brought to their logical end.
The chief minister also prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, patience for their families, and the speedy and complete recovery of the injured officers.
