PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Human Resource Management Department has announced a major reshuffle of senior bureaucrats, issuing notifications for the transfer and appointment of administrative secretaries across several key provincial departments.
The notifications detail new postings for senior officers in departments including Home and Tribal Affairs, Finance, Health, Education, Information, Law, Energy, Agriculture, and Communication and Works. Several former secretaries have also been relieved of their administrative assignments and directed to report to the Human Resource Management Department (HRMD) with immediate effect.
The extensive reshuffle comes amid significant administrative developments in the province following the reported imposition of emergency measures and governor’s rule.
New Secretaries Appointed to Key Departments
Under the latest notifications, Amjad Ali Khan (PAS, BS-20) has been posted as Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs, while Muhammad Ayaz (PAS, BS-20) has been appointed Secretary Finance.
Muhammad Bakhtiar Khan (PMS, BS-20) has been assigned the position of Secretary Information and Public Relations. Matiullah Khan (PAS, BS-20) will serve as Secretary Health, while Abid Ullah (PAS, BS-19) has been posted as Secretary Higher Education.
In the education sector, Inayatullah Wasim (PMS, BS-20) has been appointed Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education.
Tashfeen Haider (PMS, BS-20) has been posted as Secretary Administration, while Shahid Sohail Khan (PMS, BS-20) will head the Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights Department.
Muhammad Zubair (PAS, BS-20) has been assigned as Secretary Energy and Power, and Hamid Ullah Shah (PMS, BS-20) has been appointed Secretary Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control.
Amir Afaq (PMS, BS-20) will serve as Secretary Agriculture, while Saqib Raza Aslam (PMS, BS-20) has been posted as Secretary Communication and Works.
Changes in Other Provincial Departments
The reshuffle also covers several other departments across the province.
Amir Latif (PCS EG, BS-21) has been posted as Secretary Mines and Mineral Development, while Yousaf Rahim (PCS EG, BS-20) has been appointed Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement.
Muhammad Idrees Khan (PCS SG, BS-20) has been assigned as Secretary Auqaf, Hajj and Religious Affairs. Fakhr-e-Alam (PMS, BS-20) has been posted as Secretary Population Welfare.
Lt. (Retd.) Amir Sultan Tareen (PAS, BS-20) has been appointed Secretary Industries, while Khalid Ilyas (PMS, BS-20) will head the Irrigation Department.
Tahir Orakzai (PCS SG, BS-20) has been assigned as Secretary Housing, and Masood Younas (PMS, BS-20) has been posted as Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination.
Meanwhile, Nisar Ahmed (PAS, BS-20) has been appointed Secretary Science and Technology and Information Technology (ST&IT).
Former Secretaries Directed to Report to HRMD
Alongside the new appointments, several senior officers have been relieved of their existing administrative positions and directed to report to the Human Resource Management Department with immediate effect.
Those named in the notification include Aneela Mehfooz Durrani (PCS EG, BS-21), formerly Secretary Population Welfare; Suhail Khan (PAS, BS-20), formerly Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement; and Dr. Amber Ali Khan (PAS, BS-21), formerly Secretary Higher Education, Archives and Libraries.
Other officers directed to report to HRMD include Manzoor Ahmad, former Secretary Housing; Muhammad Abid Khan, former Secretary Irrigation; and Atta-ur-Rehman, former Secretary Auqaf, Hajj, Religious and Minority Affairs.
The list also includes Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, formerly Secretary Communication and Works; Muhammad Israr, formerly Secretary Minerals Development; and Akhtar Saeed Turk, formerly Secretary Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights.
Muhammad Khalid, former Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education; Capt. (Retd.) Mian Adil Iqbal, former Secretary ST⁢ Fayaz Ali Shah, former Secretary Health; and Capt. (Retd.) Kamran Ahmed Afridi, former Secretary Finance, have also been directed to report to the department.
Notifications Effective Immediately
According to the provided notification details, the transfer and posting orders have taken effect immediately. The notification was issued by Section Officer Sabir Amin on behalf of the Human Resource Management Department.
