PESHAWAR (Shahid Jan): Significant progress has been reported in the investigation into the Kohistan corruption scandal, which involves alleged financial irregularities of over Rs40 billion.

According to sources, five members of the provincial assembly are reportedly on the radar of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), and arrests are expected in the coming days as the investigation expands.

Officials said the wife of the main accused has already been arrested, while plea bargain requests have also been submitted in the case. The inquiry has further widened to include scrutiny of Azam Swati.

However, official confirmation regarding the total number of arrests and the exact amount of money recovered in the scandal is still awaited as investigations continue.
