ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said that peace is achieved and all credits goes to prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has been singed by the leaders of both countries of United states of America and Iran.
According to the announcement, the memorandum was signed by the presidents of the United States and Iran and endorsed by Pakistan in its capacity as mediator.
The agreement reflects both sides’ commitment to pursuing a diplomatic resolution to their dispute.
Under the first phase of the understanding, Iran will immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz, while the United States will lift its naval blockade as an initial confidence-building measure.
Pakistan, with the support of Qatar as co-mediator, has announced that an official ceremony to mark the agreement will be held in Switzerland on June 19, 2026.
The event will also serve as the launch of technical-level negotiations aimed at implementing the accord and advancing broader dialogue between the two countries.
