TEHRAN: Iran’s Police Chief, Ahmad Reza Radan has announced that more than 6,500 individuals accused of treason and espionage have been arrested since the start of hostilities with the United States and Israel.
Radan is reported by Iranian state media to have claimed that these individuals have cooperated with the enemy, leaked confidential information, and posed a threat to the security of the country.
In past occasions, Tehran has reported the detention of some individuals who are suspected of being spies of Israel and other foreign countries.
Iran slams UAE-Israel ties, warns of consequences
Meanwhile, Iran has issued a stern warning to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding its growing relations with Israel, cautioning Abu Dhabi against getting involved in what Tehran calls Israeli conspiracies.
According to a report published by a Qatar-based news agency, Mohsin Rezaee, Military Secretary to the Supreme Leader of Iran, said that even though Iran is still open for friendship with the UAE, it is aware of the increasing relationship between the two countries and that Iran can no longer tolerate any more.
Iran is very clear about the UAE-Israeli relationship and warned Abu Dhabi not to become a victim of Israeli conspiracies. This warning comes at a time when there has been a lot of friction between the UAE and Iran over the latter’s military activities in the former.
In a previous development, the foreign minister of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, publicly accused the UAE of involvement in acts against Iran. In his statement, which he gave before the BRICS summit, he had condemned the UAE for its lack of reaction to acts against Iran.
In another related development, recent reports have revealed that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid an unannounced visit to the UAE while in the midst of its conflict with Iran.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, urging the country to take immediate action before it’s too late.
In a statement shared on social media, Trump emphasized the urgency of the situation, saying, “Time is running out for Iran. They must act immediately, or there will be nothing left for them. Timing is crucial.”
This marks yet another instance of Trump publicly addressing tensions with Iran, highlighting his continued focus on the country’s policies and actions.
