The follow-up examination of the affected eye of PTI founder Imran Khan has been completed, he has also been given the fifth dose of intravitreal injection.

The private channel quoted prison sources as saying that the founder of PTI was transferred to PIMS last night from Adiala Jail under tight security, where his eye was fully examined, after the examination, he was given an injection as a necessary medical procedure.

Sources said that he has been given four intravitreal injections before, and the current medical phase is a link in the same chain, after the injection he was transferred to Adiala Jail again. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar also confirmed Imran Khan’s medical examination and said that the PTI founder was brought to PIMS Hospital from Adiala Jail last night.

The PTI leadership, including Barrister Gohar has repeatedly said that Imran Khan should be provided with “basic medical facilities”. They call eye treatment a “necessary medical procedure”. He has filed petition in the court to be allow him to meet Imran Khan in jail. The application is scheduled for hearing around the same medical check-up date.

Whenever Imran Khan is taken from jail to hospital, there is “tight security”. The jail van, police escort, and the hospital section are temporarily sealed.
