IG KP Zulfiqar Hameed visited Elite Police Training Center Nowshera and participated in the passing out parade of the 22nd Basic Elite Course where grand passing out parade was organized at the end of the 22nd Basic Elite Course.

Various professional courses were conducted to enhance the capacity of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police against terrorism and to further enhance their capabilities. Elite Police Training Center Nowshera has also been providing the best military training to the youth of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police for the last two decades. The recently concluded 22nd Basic Elite Course is a testament to the hard work of the highly trained and dedicated staff of the Elite Police Training Center.

Today, the passing out parade of the 22nd Basic Course was held at the Elite Police Training Center Nowshera, with Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed as the chief guest. Upon arrival at the Elite Training Center, he was welcomed by Principal Elite Training Center Shabih Hussain, after which the chief guest formally participated in the passing out parade.

Additional IGP Special Branch Kashif Alam, Additional IG Elite Force Muhammad Ali Gandapur, DIG IT Rai Ijaz Ahmed, Regional Police Officer Mardan Rab Nawaz Khan and other senior police officers accompanied him. A grand salute was presented by the passing out trainees and the chief guest inspected the parade. The chief guest distributed prizes and commendation certificates among the trainees who performed well in the course.

It should be noted that keeping in mind the new tactics and modern warfare against terrorists, clear changes were made in the basic courses conducted at the Elite Police Training Center, an example of which is the recently conducted basic course 22.

In this course, the trainees were not only taught the use of modern weapons but also additional tactics of hand-to-hand combat and mixed martial arts. The trainees were made to go through night combat such as thermal combat, water cannon and swimming, courses of hard physical labor, sniper course, hand-to-hand combat, tactical shooting and adaptation to the environment, in addition to other difficult stages.

In this course, the youths were not only trained physically but also mentally to become elite commandos. The youths were made aware of all the weapons and modern equipment used by terrorists, from deactivating bombs and IEDs. This course is unique in that about 500 trainees entered its Stage A, while only 318 trainees who passed Stage D were declared successful.

Speaking at the passing out ceremony, the chief guest, IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, congratulated the youth who received excellent training and said that the training given to you in the Basic Elite Course is very good. He said that courage, bravery, sense of duty and honesty should be the hallmark of your personality.

The provincial police chief said that you trainees have to become an example for the entire force and your training should be visible in your practical life. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is facing the growing challenges of the time by innovating in its weapons and training. He said that the force will be equipped with all possible resources and terrorists will be eliminated.
