PESHAWAR: Health Secretary Fayyaz Ali Shah along with officials from the Planning Cell, district administration and Health Department, held an important meeting regarding new health projects and health complexes.
During the meeting, the Health Minister was briefed in detail on new health complexes, mega hospitals and other major health projects. Detailed deliberation was held on the selection and availability of land for the new health complexes and mega hospitals.
The Health Minister directed relevant officials to expedite the process of selecting suitable land and mapping the sites. He said all matters related to financial and development expenditures must be finalized promptly.He added that mega health projects are flagship and priority initiatives of the provincial government and no unnecessary delays in mega health projects will be tolerated.
All relevant agencies must ensure rapid progress on the projects through mutual coordination, he directed. Establishing new health complexes and mega hospitals will help further strengthen the healthcare infrastructure, the Health Minister said. Completion of mega projects will improve the delivery of modern, high-quality medical facilities to the public, Khaliq-ur-Rehman said.
The provincial government is committed to providing better healthcare facilities to the public right at their doorsteps and efforts are underway to bring about significant and lasting improvements in the province’s health sector through mega projects, Khaliq-ur-Rehman added.
