ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan surged sharply on Wednesday after declining for two consecutive days, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association.

The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 7,900 per tola, taking the new price to Rs 457,236 per tola across the country.

The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs 6,773, reaching Rs 392,006.

Gold prices also recorded a significant increase in the international market. The price of gold rose by $79 per ounce to $4,347.

Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs 140 per tola, reaching Rs 6,942 in the domestic market.
