KARACHI: Gold prices continued their upward trend in both local and international markets on Wednesday, marking the seventh consecutive day of gains.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 4,200 per tola, taking the price to Rs 463,936 per tola.

The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs 3,601 to Rs 397,750.

Gold has gained Rs 36,000 per tola over the past seven days, highlighting a sharp rise in prices in the domestic market.

Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs146 per tola, reaching Rs 7,111.

In the international market, gold prices rose by $42 per ounce to $4,415.

The latest increase extends gold’s seven-day winning streak and keeps the precious metal at elevated levels in both local and global markets.
