ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a significant decline on Friday, with the price of gold falling by Rs5,600 per tola in local bullion markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of one tola of gold dropped to Rs456,736, while the price of 10 grams declined by Rs4,801 to Rs391,577.

Silver prices also fell in the local market. The price of one tola of silver decreased by Rs253 to Rs6,871, according to the association.

The decline in domestic gold prices came amid a sharp drop in international bullion rates. Gold prices in the international market fell by $56 per ounce, bringing the new global price to around $4,342 per ounce.

The movement in international bullion prices continues to influence gold rates in Pakistan, where local prices are adjusted in line with developments in the global market.
