PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police Department has ordered the transfer and posting of four officers to various positions in the designated districts, with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on October 26, 2026, the transfers and postings have been made in the public interest under Section 17(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
Under the orders, Muhammad Asif (PSP, BS-18), who was serving as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Human Resource and Merged Districts, has been transferred and posted as AIG Legal, Designated Districts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He will also hold the additional charge of AIG Human Resource and Merged Districts alongside his existing responsibilities.
Shah Asad Khan (PSP, BS-18), previously serving as Superintendent of Police (SP), Special Security Unit (SSU), Diamer-Bhasha Dam, Upper Kohistan, has been appointed AIG Operations, Designated Districts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, Rizwanullah (DSP, BS-17), who was serving as Deputy Superintendent of Police and Personal Staff Officer (PSO) to the Additional Inspector General of Police (Headquarters), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been posted as SP/PSO to the Additional IGP, Designated Districts.
Hamid Ullah (AD-IT, BS-17), previously serving as Assistant Director to the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Headquarters), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been transferred and appointed Deputy Director IT, Designated Districts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The notification stated that all transfers and postings would take effect immediately.
Major Police Reshuffle in KP: Four Officers Transferred
Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department has announced transfers and postings of four police officers.
According to an official notification issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the following transfers and postings have been ordered:
Tahir Iqbal (BS-18), serving as District Police Officer (DPO) Upper Kohistan, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation, Abbottabad.
Dr. Saad Afridi has been appointed District Police Officer (DPO) Kurram.
Ayaz Mahmood, serving as SP Investigation, Abbottabad, has been transferred and posted as SP Haveliyan, Abbottabad.
Malik Habib Khan, serving as DPO Kurram, has been transferred and posted as DPO Upper Kohistan.
The notification stated that all transfers and postings would take effect immediately in the public interest.
