Girls primary school in Jamrud closes over lack of permanent teachers

JAMRUD: Local residents have locked the Government Girls’ Primary School in Toda Mela Hashim Khan Kallay in protest against the non-appointment of permanent teachers at the school for the past eight years, disrupting the education of female students.

According to local residents, the shortage of permanent teachers has remained unresolved at the school for a long time, creating difficulties for students in continuing their educational activities.

The residents closed the school in protest and demanded the immediate appointment of permanent teachers so that the students’ education could resume without further disruption.

They said the continued absence of teachers was adversely affecting the educational future of the girls enrolled at the school and urged the relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the issue.

The Government Girls’ Primary School Toda Mela is located in PK-70, the constituency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
